Conduct world class research into all aspects of information protection, including mathematical foundations, secure communication and cryptography, quantum information science, privacy, and the security of computer networks, software, and hardware.
Provide teaching and training for students in cryptography and information security, preparing them for meaningful careers in these fields
Establish long term alliances with industry and research centres around the world and encourage linkages, including commercialization opportunities, between academia, industry and other partners
Promote public awareness of the ever growing challenges involved in protecting private information from unauthorized intrusions
